American Dream

Adrienne plays Grandma in Boxcar's current production of The American Dream by Edward Albee. It's wonderful. Wickedly funny. The staging -- in people's homes around the Bay Area -- gives us a ringside seat for the dysfunctional family drama.

We saw Adrienne perform as Grandma in a furniture store in Berkeley. Her character was hilarious, insightful, and her bent spine was very, very convincing. I winced to watch her walk, though she assured me later there is a special "actor's" way to do this that doesn't take a toll on the lower back. Brava Adrienne!!
